I’d like to take you on a short personal journey that has the power to transform your mindset, and effect your environment in a strikingly positive way. Take a moment to consider where you are. The journey that brought you to this physical space began long before you got in your car, or hopped on a train this morning. The steps you’ve taken and the steps you will take are part of the journey of your life. When you look at the ENTIRE winding road that leads to the VERY space that you occupy, the view is incredible. Your job is the product of years of deliberate action: all the classes you took in college, all the jobs you had before this one, all those extra hours on the weekend, or late nights in the office, projects, people, friends, hobbies, favors, and the ebb and flow of daily routine. When you collect those things in a single focused glance, I guarantee your journey can look truly profound.
With that collection in your sights, tune out for a moment today, and let the impact of your achievements sink in. Examine how that makes you feel, and hone in on the ways in which you’re grateful for that. Who’s lent a hand on your journey? Where has someone made your achievement possible, or held you up when you were struggling? What are the facets of your journey that make you Glad to Be Here? Then take another breath, and think of the people around you today, of your colleague who’s crunching numbers for that report, of your loved ones on their own journeys, in different spaces, right now. The power of that gratitude is just waiting to be unleashed.
Life is vibrance, and every moment is miraculous. There are #gladtobhere realizations in every single day, and if you feel it, SHARE IT. Open yourself up and beam that light into the world around you. An environment that is defined by #gladtobehere is a space where anything is possible.
